1996: Degree in chemistry at the “Università degli Studi di Napoli – Federico II”, summa cum laude.
1999: PhD in Chemical Sciences at the “Università degli Studi di Perugia”.
2005 and then 2010 – 2017 Research Associate and Associate Professor at the Università degli Studi di Perugia.
2014 – present: Guest Professor (Bijzonder Gastdocent) at the University of KU Leuven Belgium.
2023 – present: Coordinator of the National Doctorate in Catalysis (26 Italian universities and 10 private companies) from 2019 to 2023: Coordinator of the Doctorate School in Chemical Sciences of University of Perugia.

2006 and 2007 Academic Development Program (ADP) Award from Merck’s Chemistry Council for “Creative work in organic chemistry”.
2007 G. Ciamician Medal of the Società Chimica Italiana – Divisione di Chimica Organica (prize given to young emerging researchers with age below 35 for outstanding contributions to the field of Organic Chemistry).
2014 Awarded the Vigevani Visiting Professorship.
2016 Awarded the Top-10 reviewers recognition from Royal Society of Chemistry.

In 2015, he has been selected to contribute to the book on Enabling Innovative Technologies edited by the Italian Association of Industrial Research and in 2017, has been Editor of the book: Flow Chemistry and Sustainability, Wiley.
H-index: 57 Scopus; 61 Scholar. He is Author of two articles currently labelled as “highly cited paper” by WoS and 4 Green Chemistry Hot Articles. He is currently authors of 4 highly cited papers.

Research Interests
Catalysis: Multifunctional heterogeneous catalysts designed for flow reactors operating in safer reaction media for the development of waste-minimized syntheses of fine chemicals. Bio-based fuels, Safer solvents and chemicals.
